"With a complimentary bowl of spicy pickled cabbage to kick things off, you can’t go wrong here. It’s always busy so you may be in for a little wait. There are various menu items such as tofu, fried intestines, pigeon, and frog. These would be standard (or not unusual) in Taiwanese restaurants. Also there’s plenty of Americanized stuff, or at least dishes that a Westerner would be familiar with. Try the popcorn chicken, for example. Both people of Asian and European descent would be happy with all the dishes (even if they haven’t tried them before). Favorites include oyster in black bean sauce and satay beef with water celery."
