With its famous French dipped roast beef sandwich (enhanced with a delicious and frighteningly spicy mustard), this venue is just as hot as its condiments. Other favorites include macaroni salad, potato salad and meats such as pork and lamb that are also great fillers. The sandwiches here have a lightness to them. You won’t feel as airy after eating a lot of red meat anywhere else. Excellent service, and the décor and the venue are certainly less pretentious than the diner’s title suggests. However, the food is fancy enough, with some great dessert pies too, and at prices this low, you’re in for a bargain feast.
