Privy 5 Los Angeles Roderick Tung
Cardiologist and Fashion Designer
Dr. Roderick Tung is a board-certified Cardiologist and specialist in heart rhythm disorders. He is on the faculty at UCLA Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Always having a penchant for fashion, he decided to develop a fashion hobby by launching his first collection of men’s dress shirts in 2009, TUNG, debuting in two boutiques in West Hollywood. His shirts are manufactured in Northern Italy and the brand is based on quality, luxury, and exclusivity for the fashion forward man who appreciates details, boldness, and distinction. Unique features of the shirt include the fitted cut, structured collar, cuff detailing, and luxury two-ply 100’s Egyptian cotton. The second collection was picked up by nationwide boutique SCOOP NYC and the 2011 Autumn-Winter collection is expected to be carried at Neiman Marcus. The brand is quickly gaining momentum, and what started as a hobby has quickly transformed into a second career. As a son of a Chinese cookbook author, food and dining has been an integral part of his life since childhood.

9500 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Wilshire Los Angeles CA 90212+1 310 276 8500"Brightly lit in some areas, intimate in others, this is a high class venue with a touch of café culture about it. Bone marrow flan is both odd and delicious, a very different dish, cooked and served up impeccably. The well cooked Wagyu beef is, well, cooked well and very tasty. The iceberg lettuce salad is served with blue cheese and vinaigrette. For a salad, it certainly fills the appetite gap. ... read more > -

The restaurant is a combination of the talents of Nancy Silverton and Mario Batali and it shows in the food. There are plenty of other dishes available but after having a slice of pizza here, you'll be wanting to try all of the over 23 pizzas on the me ... read more > -

850 S La Brea Ave Los Angeles CA 90036(323) 931-3000Umami Burger is the godfather of the new-wave gourmet burger movement in Los Angeles. This hip restaurant serves a burger that has many Angelenos crowning it the best burger in all of Los Angeles. Alongside a menu that features cheesy sides, you also get the truffle burger. The creamy truffle cheese is a delight, and there is a sweetness to the savory that is also a nice (rather than unpleasant) s ... read more > -
