Peanut butter and jelly is quite an odd combo, if you think about it. But what about chicken and waffles? Why not? The chicken is crispy and seasoned on the outside, and the right side of juicy within. The fluffy waffles are buttered in a mouth wateringly delicious way and comes with a quality sweet syrup. What the waffles lack in crispness, the crunch of the fried chicken more than makes up for. Condiments include a fantastic hot sauce. Side orders include collard greens that are wonderfully salted for flavor and can be enhanced further with lemon. The mac and cheese is delicious. Service is snappy and down home in a good way – you’ll get served within fifteen minutes once you’re seated. However, the venue is absurdly popular (you may see a celebrity or two) which means you need to be prepared to wait.
