Founder and CEO of VIZIO, Inc

William Wang, founder and CEO of VIZIO, Inc., was born in Taiwan and moved to the US with his family at age 12. In 1986 he graduated from USC with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and took a tech support role in a rapidly expanding computer monitor company before starting two of his own tech companies. After being straddled with operations and cash-flow problems, William encountered a life changing event and decided to sell both companies. With $600,000 borrowed from friends, family and a mortgaged house, William launched V, Inc. in 2002, later renaming it VIZIO, Inc., aiming to make expensive plasma and LCD technology affordable. Today, millions of Americans own VIZIO TVs and VIZIO has become America’s #1 HDTV brand. Now, William is focused on making Vizio not only the best consumer electronics brand, but also the provider of the next generation of entertainment products. William’s success has gained the brand numerous awards. William’s personal awards include Entrepreneur of the Year honors from Ernst and Young, Chapman University, and The Orange County Business Journal. "The food here is fantastic. You get a great range of breads for a start, including bacon bread, olive bread and French roll. You will certainly get what you pay for in terms of the food quality. However, the fine dining service complements things impeccably. Lobster Bolognese, Sonoma rack of lamb, house cured salmon and capers, yuzu, pickled daikon, and pistachio and goat cheese coated grapes are ... read more >

Marche Moderne is a great spot for an upscale French lunch with some fusion elements. More of a new-age French than old-world French continental, the restaurant features a nice interior with an elegant room that has a simple color scheme of white tablecloth against dark brown walls. The room is contemporary, but it is really in the menu where Marche Moderne feels the least like a mall restaurant. ... read more >

A & J has a true authentic feel and is one of those hole-in-the-walls serving authentic ethnic food. This place will definitely satisfy your noodle-soup cravings. It is so authentic that many of the wait staff speaks to you in Chinese so you may want to bring with you a Chinese-speaking friend. One of the must-trys here is their Taiwanese beef noodle soup, seeing as this is a Taiwanese restaurant. ... read more >
