"With two good restaurants (one casual, the other more formal), a good club, delightfully comfortable and plush accommodations, and a pool area adorned with palm trees that’s screaming at you to lounge around it, this venue is a great place to stay for a touch of old Hollywood. The service is friendly and some of the furnishings, layout and decor are retro, but only by default and certainly not in any way that we’d define retro today. The original lobby smacks of the Roaring Twenties, the pre-Talkies era. When everyone wore hats that didn’t feature their favorite teams’ logos. The staff, meanwhile, in keeping with the civility of the environment, are more than accommodating."
