Production and filming in China has begun for Universal Pictures' The Man With The Iron Fists, an eagerly anticipated martial arts film from hip hop artist turned writer/producer/director RZA (co-founder of the Wu-Tang Clan). The cast includes Academy Award Winner Russell Crowe and stars a contigent of Asian actors including Privy Members Daniel Wu, Byron Mann, Brian Yang, and Grace Huang.

With at $20 million dollar budget, the film centers on a blacksmith, with RZA in the title role, who forges weapons for a village in feudal China to defend themselves. Byron Mann (Street Fighter, The Corrupter, pictured below) has been confirmed in the role of Silver Lion and Brian Yang will play Blue Hyena.

The film is also being produced and co-written by Eli Roth (Hostel, Inglourious Basterds) and fight sequences will be choreographed by Corey Yuen (The Transporter). Filming will take place at the Hengdian World Studios and will shift location to Shanghai sometime next month.
