Lee Jung Jin started out his career as a fashion model, first debuting with Modeline in 1997 before being discovered by Star J Entertainment CEO, Young Beom Jeong. His latest projects includes starring opposite another wildly popular Korean superstar, Rain, in the South Korean action television series, The Fugitive: Plan B where Lee Jung Jin plays a police detective hot on the trail of Rain’s character.

Read about Lee Jun Jin’s favorite restaurant picks in Seoul with the upcoming launch of the Privy 5 Seoul Guide. But for now, check out his interview with Privy.

1.   What do you think was your career turning point?

Before I started acting I was a model. I had graduated from Konkuk University with a degree related to horticulture before going to Hanyang University for acting. I think my turning point was when I was fashion modeling and I met the CEO of Star J Entertainment, Young Beom Jeong. I guess you can say that was when he “discovered” me and my career took off from there.

2.   Since you were a fashion model, what are some of your favorite brands in clothing and accessories?

Well it all depends on the item or accessory but I would have to say that my essential wardrobe item is suits. My preferred suit is Zenga but the best shirt brand for me is Balenciaga. And to go with these items, I like shoes from John Lobb and Richard Mille watches. D&G jeans are my favorites for casual wear and my favorite bag accessory brand is Louis Vuitton. For accessories, I usually would not leave home without my iPhone and credit card. The iPhone is probably my most essential gadget.
