Hot off the heels of his successful “Unveiled” EP, the swanky and gorgeously appointed XIV restaurant from world-renowned chef Michael Mina was the setting to celebrate international superstar Brian Joo’s album release and Unveiled Tour. Privy teamed up with SBE to put together a top-shelf members only experience right in the heart of one of the most buzzed about restaurants in Los Angeles.
The romantically lit and engaging restaurant was designed by esteemed designer Phillippe Stark and the dramatic decor reflects all the luxury of a French palace. With eloquent fireplaces, paintings, and a whole host of regal accouterments, XIV feels like walking into an elegant European chateau. Yet, even with crystal chandeliers hanging overhead, XIV still has a modern and chic vibe and this unique juxtaposition makes the restaurant one of the hottest dining and nightlife scenes in Los Angeles. It’s no wonder you’ll find celebrities dining at XIV nightly.
At XIV, guests were able to dine on signature tapas style dishes from award-winning Chef Mina’s thoughtful contemporary cuisine. We invited Privy members to spend the night enjoying drinks with Brian Joo knowing that XIV exhibits a flourish of SBE nightclub style with the stunning and spacious marble bar churning out spectacular cocktails. Guests mingled on the attractive outdoor terrace and patio area while taking in the sights and sounds on the famous Sunset Strip. The entire venue was converted so that Privy members could revel in the beautiful space while partying with a host of influential people.
The distinguished guest list included actors James Kyson Lee and Justin Chon, VP of Endgame Entertainment Chris Chen, head of CJ Entertainment USA Ted Kim, Ed Mun, singer/Asian Excellence Awards impresario Welly Yang, Fashion Designer Carol Chen, CEO of Song Group Inc Esther Song, Producer of Digital Domain Kymber Lim, Manager of "Freesol" (Produced by Justin Timberlake & Interscope) Ashley Choi, CEO of Telos Entertainment Tony Kim, the dapper Rod Tung sporting his "Tung" clothing line dress shirt, Korean-American rock band "Royal Pirates", VP of IW Group Jimmy Lee, Privy CEO Stephen Liu, EVP and Creative Director Linda Kim, Producer Teddy Zee, and several others.
Only two days later, guests were treated to an exclusive live performance as Brian Joo took the stage at Highlands Hollywood nightclub. Privy members were able to meet Brian backstage for the full VIP experience. The set included hit songs from his Unveiled Tour including "Domino" and "My Girl." He even took up three lucky guests and serenaded them. Brian performance left the crowd craving more and the crooner returned for an encore of "In My Head" that was the perfect way to cap this incredible night.
