Chinese are Top Importers of Bordeaux Wines

China, when taken together with Hong Kong, is set to overtake Germany and the UK to become the largest importer of Bordeaux wines in volume and value of imports, respectively. China alone has been reported to be the largest value importer outside of the EU since May 2010.

From May 21 to 23, Privy (Privy.net), the social network and travel platform for jetsetters and key influencers, collaborated with some of Vegas' hottest spots for three days of entertainment, social networking, and celebration. The private event, Privy's "The Hangover Weekend," was sponsored by new luxury casino and hotel, Aria in the City Center in Las Vegas.

Though Chinese cuisine has never been big on desserts, Shanghai is experiencing a dessert renaissance that is getting its legs from this boutique bakery that specializes in some of the most intricate and well-crafted couture cupcakes you'll ever find. These delightful delicacies also happen to be the product of the dedication and talent of owner and head chef Jennifer Lee. As a cupcake entrepreneur in Shanghai, Jennifer has quite the story to tell and we sat down with her to discuss a range of topics including how she came into her unique profession and what's on the horizon for C'est Cupcake.

Privy was recently invited to share an evening with one of our members, hedge fund manager/model agency owner Jeff Wong, who hosted a private dinner party for us at the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills. The private cigar club/restaurant's entrance was hidden inside another restaurant called On Canon. The moment Jeff said the word to the hostess, we were whisked up a private key-card-access elevator and into a cigar-smoking, whiskey-drinking sanctuary worlds away from 21st Century LA.
