Privy Private Event in The Living Room at W Hollywood

Privy members recently lounged under a brilliantly attractive 18-foot-tall chandelier at the W Hollywood’s The Living Room. The exclusive venue, known for being glamorous and vibrant, was the perfect setting for Privy guests to mingle with allured company – all at the epicenter of the entertainment capital! The name the Living Room may suggest privacy but here you are afforded wide open space populated with gorgeous people all around. Located in Tinseltown, its only fitting that you receive a captivating red carpet treatment basking in the glow of the Hollywood spotlight. In addition to the stunningly shiny chandelier overhead, The Living Room features a soaring 34-foot ceiling, a footbridge suspended overhead and a red-carpeted floating staircase. Once here, there’s no doubt that you feel the enchanting essence of the space. One thing is for certain, this is not your ordinary Living Room.

The success of our LA Hennessy tasting last fall had members clamoring for invites. So we decided, why not take the party to San Francisco? Same idea—get Hennessy Brand Ambassador and Privy member Wayne Chang to share his expertise and take us on a journey of discovering how to experience cognac. Different group, different venue, different vibe. We took over a private room at the Crescent Hotel in Union Square with a still intimate but larger group than the LA gathering.

Privy Bordeaux Event at Strip Prime Shanghai

Privy had an eventful weekend in Shanghai which featured a lovely private wine dinner hosted by Privy member Andrew Bigbee, a telecom business executive and Le Maitre of the Commanderie de Bordeaux’s Shanghai chapter. The cozy affair took place at one of Shanghai’s newest fine dining establishments, the Strip Prime Steakhouse. Owner George Chen (of Roosevelt Prime fame) and Bigbee crafted a special five-course menu to pair with the six elite vintages of Bordeaux wines we experienced, courtesy of the Commanderie de Bordeaux.

Chen and his wife joined us for the evening, as did Privy Seoul Ambassador Stream Lee; Ted Lai, SVP of Warner Brothers China; Beijing banker Joe Chang; private equity investor Shaw Chen; Machiko Kodaka, international businesswoman from Tokyo; Tina Cheng, head of Jigo City Taiwan and the new Groupon for Asia; Lisa Chang, PR extraordinaire in Shanghai; Esther Song of ES Song Group; and Clement Lee, owner of Ministry of Sound Singapore among other businesses.

Privy Porsche Private Event @ M2 in Shanghai

Privy recently teamed up with Porsche Centre Shanghai Pudong and Muse Entertainment to throw our first private party in Shanghai. The evening was put together by superstar attorney and Muse Partner Paul Lin, who co-hosted the evening along with Muse Managing Partner Michael Sun and Privy CEO Stephen Liu. Prior to the Privy shindig, Lin, recently inducted into the Committee of 100, attended meetings in Taipei and Shanghai with his fellow C-100 members. It was an eventful few days for the group, which met with Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, among others, before joining us in Shanghai. David Xiao, GM of the newly minted Porsche Centre Shanghai Pudong, took a break from heading up the Chinese flagship facility to represent our gracious sponsors.

PRIVY PRIVATE EVENT - Only the Privy Play in Vegas

The adage that getting ahead is all about who you know, aptly applies to having fun too. From May 21 to 23, Privy (Privy.net), the social network and travel platform for jetsetters and key influencers, collaborated with some of Vegas' hottest spots for three days of entertainment, social networking, and celebration. The private event, Privy's "The Hangover Weekend," was sponsored by new luxury casino and hotel, Aria in the City Center in Las Vegas.

PRIVY PRIVATE EVENT - Grand Havana Room

Privy was recently invited to share an evening with one of our members, hedge fund manager/model agency owner Jeff Wong, who hosted a private dinner party for us at the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills. The private cigar club/restaurant's entrance was hidden inside another restaurant called On Canon. The moment Jeff said the word to the hostess, we were whisked up a private key-card-access elevator and into a cigar-smoking, whiskey-drinking sanctuary worlds away from 21st Century LA.

HYDE Lounge

Although temperatures were as low as they'd been all year in West Hollywood, Hyde Lounge on this particular night was red hot. (Yup, the same Hyde Lounge where Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton had one of their famous brawls.) One of the most exclusive spots in LA played host to Privy's latest private party--members only, of course. With only a single wooden door to mark its place amongst Sunset Boulevard giants like the Laugh Factory or it's bigger brother XIV, Hyde Lounge felt like the perfect Privy hideaway.
