Joseph Vincent is an up-and-coming acoustic singer-songwriter whose sultry-smooth vocals match his Southern California upbringing. You may have seen his popular YouTube covers or heard him performing on national television. As a kid, Joseph’s ear for music extended to all genres, from hip-hop to pop to rock. Picking up his first guitar at the age of 15, Joseph started playing covers of two of his main musical influences: Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz.
His YouTube channel has received over 145,000 subscribers and over 28 million total views, and he has over half a million plays on his MySpace page. Joseph went on to enter Kababayan Superstar, a contest produced by Southern California’s local Filipino news station Kababayan LA-18, and took the top prize. His LA gigs have included venues such as The House of Blues, The Knitting Factory, El Rey Theatre, The Roxy Theatre, and The Troubadour, but also includes smaller and more intimate venues and local coffee-shops. Proud of his Filipino heritage, Joseph performed at the 17th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture in August of 2008, playing his MUSIC for the thousands of ears in attendance. In the summer of 2009, Joseph traveled to the Philippines and played his first show overseas at My Brother’s Mustache, a folk bar in Quezon City.
