Alan Trummer owns this old Europen Apothecary-themed bar and indeed these Apothecarys were opium dens which often housed bars. Furnishings include a large red couch and light sconces are filled with an Absinthe-like liquid. The antique door features a sliding peephole and this adds to the opium den-like ambiance. The cocktails enhance the spirit of Chinatown with names such as Five Points and Opium Uplifter. . This 200 year old secret recipe features absinthe, but if you are game, Apothéke is the place.
