Privy 5 Overview

Share |

The Central Park Boathouse without doubt offers one of the most classically breathtaking views in the City, perfect for weekend brunches and newly made over by owner Dean Poll. This once tented dock/pavilion in the heart of the park is now perfect for out-of-season events and has become a solid structure. Score a lakeside table to spy on Andreas Garcia, poling his restored Gondola, and start with salmon-and-oyster tartare dribbled with caviar. Enjoy the ambiance of the English gardens, with an entre of filet of beef and while you are watching ducks paddling by, divide a decadent dessert. Walk off the meal or catch the year-round house trolley to Fifth Avenue or 72nd Street. This runs on Saturdays, Sunday or holidays – charming to say the least.
