The original Clover Club comprised of Philadelphia journalists - a select group. They met at the Bellevue Hotel once a month between 1882 and 1920, to eat drink and talk. I don't see much eating going on in the NY Clover Club, open the menu and find liquid, brunches and drinks such as Davy Jones' Locker - drink this; Aged rum, Fernet Branca, cinnamon bark syrup, grapefruit and lime juice and it will no doubt send you right to the bottom of Davy Jones locker. There are some very amusing stories relating to this club: mostly to do with balloons, bachelorettes, banana cream pies and stolen Angostura Bitters.
