Lexington Bar and Books is a mahogany trimmed NY hot spot, it is dignified yet congenial and the perfect place for Park Avenue gentlemen. The odd lady and under 40’s drop by to take in the pungent aroma of cigar smoke, but by the most part whiskey, brandies and cigars are enjoyed by the older set. Add to this atmosphere; leather bound chairs and books and one can see where the name is derived. Not a lot of reading gets done by visitors other than the also leather bound menus, but Lexington Bar and Books is an altogether great spot for listening to soothing jazz by the fireplace, and this is not the only fixture smoking.
