The pumping Hotel Gansevoort rooftop is the setting for Plunge, a singles scene fantastically coupled with a great view of the city. When the weather is warm the bar area is open, but if it is chilly you will be met by a greenhouse-like structure, with an outdoor swimming pool. However if you want to plunge into the pool, be warned, as only registered hotel guests may use the pool. The décor is impressive with low leather sofas, wooden chairs, high-priced cocktails and a good view of the Hudson River looking down on the Soho Hotel pool, a celebrity favorite. This is the hot spot where trendy scenesters go to see and be scene.
