Find The Modern at the Museum of Modern Art and admire the view of the Calders featured in the sculpture garden while sipping designer after-dinner coffee or tea. This is two restaurants in one, presided over by classically trained Gabriel Kreuther, who hails from Alsace, France. The sophisticated, slightly hip café setting is where he indulges the menu with meals from his youth. On the other side of the coin, or should we say "frosted glass partition", the more formal, almost august, modernist dining area abides. It is formal, and so is the food; with accompanying Danny Meyer four-star flourishes. Accoutrements, an avalanche of Amuse-gueules, petit fours and small plates are the order of the day. The chef is French so experiment with escargot, or sample the delectable duck.
