Artichoke Basille's Pizza & Brewery fans read like a papal blessing; these young entrepreneurs have made it into the New York Times, as well as other just as venerable publications. Unassuming though the store-front may be, it is what is inside that counts; this hotbed has made pizza history and whatever it lacks in trappings it makes up for in fabulous flavor. Parmigiano-Reggiano, mozzarella, Polly-O, and pecorino cheese is strewn with almost reckless abandon and sauce liberally applied to giant sized slices of occasionally charred, totally delicious, and anything but dainty, pizza Neapolitan, Sicilliana and more creative applications.
