Bouchon Bakery caters boulangerie-style to French soup, sandwich and salad fiends, as well as casual comfort food. If location, location, location is everything, this temple of comfort food has it. It is situated conspicuously a floor below Per Se, in TWC, and Sébastien Rouxel, Per Se pastry chef presides over the production of three-bean soup with rosemary pistou, with as much care as he does at Per Se, for a fraction of the cost. Somewhat ignominiously, this bakery won an award in 2007 for the "Best Sticky Buns!" Don't let this award or the beribboned bags of doggie biscuits for sale on the counter fool you. Bouchon is very much Thomas Keller casual; the food is certainly of his genius and artistry.
