Privy 5 Overview
On the Lower East Side, you will find the Clinton Street Baking Company where half the people here come for the consistently fluffy yet substantial, signature blueberry pancakes and maple butter. However, it offers an impeccable line-up for brunch. Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman, a husband and wife team and chef-owners have taken the "green" theme and hit the ground running. Filtered tap H2O, served in recycled wine bottles, reclaimed wood tables, composting and energy saving equipment sees them being one of the few NY Certified "Green Restaurants". If this is not enough - hormone-and-antibiotic-free burgers, hand cut fries, the best buttermilk fried (free range - organic) chicken, extra-thick milkshakes, and organic espresso are only a few items on the menu which keeps people returning to this sublime spot time and time again. They are also open for dinner.
