For the first time in Momofuku history, counter dining is not possible at the new midtown venue in the Chambers Hotel. David Chang, Momofuku mastermind and Tien Ho, executive-chef-partner are responsible for this French-Vietnamese bistro. Thanks to Tien Ho, the humble hamburger is traditional and on the menu (he is Texan!) Still you never know quite what to expect when you enter a Momo, it is the ... read more >

On the Lower East Side, you will find the Clinton Street Baking Company where half the people here come for the consistently fluffy yet substantial, signature blueberry pancakes and maple butter. However, it offers an impeccable line-up for brunch. Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman, a husband and wife team and chef-owners have taken the "green" theme and hit the ground running. Starters at Peter Luger Steakhouse include a bacon appetizer that defies description and a s ... read more >

Danny Meyer, the "Yoda" of Shake Shack is responsible for this all-American snack-bar grub, but be prepared to queue or fast the whole day and go late in the afternoon. Ippudo is a Japanese chain and the NY store is its maiden American opening. This is not a slurp and run noodle joint, it is however bustling, surprisingly modern and a large group of dining rooms. The hand-made ramen is the touted draw card, and these can be seen being made in a downstairs, windowed preparation room. While the ramen is good, the appetizers are great and I am not a great noodle fan ... read more >
