Ex "Buffa’s Luncheonette" for 80 years, the corner of Prince and Lafayette Streets now houses Delicatessen, another Mark Thomas creation. Free spending bon-vivants frequent this comfort food zone and Madonna hosted young Lourdes Leon's surprise 13th birthday party here. They specialize in traditional toothsome eats such as corned beef and pickles, blintzes, beef stroganoff and chopped liver, served from a white Formica backdrop. The Ovaltine pudding parfait is a good dessert choice, but perhaps not for breakfast next time.
