Privy 5 Overview
Imperial Palace is a Critics' Pick for Chinese, Seafood - the fact that it is located in dreary Flushing is beside the point, expatriate Shanghai citizens mob the hostess stand for tables and by dinner time - seven - the dining room is packed. You won't find a dud amongst any of the seafood choices at Imperial Palace and pacific oysters steamed and liberally dotted with black bean sauce are the size of a breakfast plate. There are a slew of choices, fleshy sable fish, crispy fried chicken and a succulent Dungeness crab, served at table, complete with steamer, sticky rice and scallions which cannot be faulted; makes the Number 7 train trip all terribly worthwhile.
