In Vino's name is in part indicative of what the uninitiated can expect from this great East Village Italian eatery. Their wine selection is extensive, well balanced and very well presented. I did say in part though as the other noteworthy characteristic of in Vino is a truly memorable dining experience. One can choose from fave's like bowling ball sized meatball starters that would have grandma in tears to gnocchi in gorgonzola cream sauce and porcini ravioli in a truffle cream sauce that should be on a banned substance list. Add to these culinary delights a mushroom polenta that will inspire you to song and lasagne that will restore your faith in a hereafter, and you'll understand why In Vino is so much more than a wine bar.
