Privy 5 Overview
When seeking sacred deli space, Katz’s is as close as it gets to divine! This eatery has been a part of New York, Jewish-American culture since 1888. They still carve their own corned beef, knock their own knockwurst and knish their own knishes. Remember the scene in when Harry Met Sally (the faked orgasm)? Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal were eating in Katz’s. It is the home of Jewish deli staples and interacting with the counterman is part of the ritual, world leaders have done it and so should you. The order of the day is an immortal Pastrami on rye – the heart of the Lower East Side. Will Fred Austin and Alan Dell, co-owners sell to condo developers? This remains to be seen.
