This fine French seafood restaurant exudes glamour without glitz. It is Manhattan, but steeped in soothing style and offers some of the best service in New York City. Super-chef, Eric Ripery, stays in his kitchen and cooks, and every plate is magic. Every moment you wait to sample his masterpieces is time wasted. The Snapper in Sancocho broth sets fire to the senses and a whole red snapper baked in a rosemary-and-thyme crust would allow you to eat and die with a smile on your face. One fanatical fan of Mr. Ripery's fine food said "eating anything else tastes like animal feed".
