Privy 5 Overview

Share |

Diane Kochilas, an authority on Athens food, consulted with Christo (owner)on this project and it's focus is on home cooked – rustic Greek food. The keftiko - clay baked lamb, duck, chicken and more is traditional and a "pylos" is a clay pot. In fact the ceiling of this eatery is hung with hundred of rather precarious looking pylos or is pyli? The entire wine list is Hellenic and this is as refreshing as the wines from Santoríni; the food is as authentic as the Greek Isles. Lamb, octopus, whole grilled fish, meze, magiritsa and Greek chocolate truffels are not to be missed. Interestingly there are some items on the take-out menu, which are not on the main menu - street-style souvlaki for example.
