Privy 5 Overview
The old adage that one should never "judge a book by its cover" is very apt in the case of Sakagura. The rather pedestrian almost book store-ish entrance is a magic portal to one of NYC's finest Japanese restaurants. The décor is amazing and the food equally so. Not to miss dishes at Sakagura include an absolutely stunning Kamo Roast duck, Agedashi Tofu, Sanma Onigiri, grilled octopus and any of the delectable soups. For the sashimi fans the Kaisen Don is super fresh and quite unlike any you'll find elsewhere. Deserts are a delight and amply round off the experience with the signature truffles and green tea an absolute must.
