You will find oodles of Japanese noodles and curries at Udon West, good broths and subtle udon flavors, as well as virtually anything on the menu where east meets west. Shrimp tempura, pork tonkatsu with Japanese curry, and Nabeyaki the udon dish all went down well. Order the Nabeyaki and this comes with fish cake, vegetables, pork meat, a poached egg and two tempura shrimp, plus patrons may enjoy the view of food being made to order. A kastsu curry which leaves you fighting for breath has a way of topping the evening at 2am in the morning after a heavy night out on the town. Space is limited but cosy, service is fast, it is cash only and as you can see, they stay open late.
