The cocktails at Rye are truly special and each of their mixologists can tailor your drink to your exact specifications. In fact, they're so good, you'll want to arrive early for your reservation just so you can order a drink from the bar. But Rye is more than just drinks. Their food consists of great dishes as well including the meatloaf dishes, the Rib Eye, and Monkfish. Each is exquisitely prep ... read more >

"Per Se" a Latin phrase for "by themselves", used in English legal, argument. With Per Se as a name, and three Michelin stars, this epicurean hot spot overlooking Central Park has made a name for itself. Subtle, slightly rustic poached and braised dishes, of lightly smoked lobster and trout are highly recommended, and sample the Sun Gold t ... read more >

Grilled rare chicken on a stick is tame fare at Yakitori Totto, but is the featured dish; you can even order chicken sashimi. If you are not sufficiently adventurously inclined to attempt chicken which is traditionally not cooked through or freshly prepared tofu in dark miso sauce with seafood, which seems a shame, then stick to noodles and soup. Authentic sojou and sake does find tame Americans i ... read more >

Ippudo is a Japanese chain and the NY store is its maiden American opening. This is not a slurp and run noodle joint, it is however bustling, surprisingly modern and a large group of dining rooms. The hand-made ramen is the touted draw card, and these can be seen being made in a downstairs, windowed preparation room. While the ramen is good, the appetizers are great and I am not a great noodle fan ... read more >
