The St. Regis is one of the most well located and historic New York luxury hotels; give me this before the Four Seasons grandeur any day. It is a Beaux-Arts landmark which has served the privileged portion of the population since 1904. In 2006 a $100 million restoration took place, and the hotel looks better than ever. The Titanic famed Col. John Jacob Astor IV was it's original builder, and still today, this small by NY standards hotel, features soaring ceilings, marble baths, crystal chandeliers, silk-covered walls, Louis XVI furniture and a Presidential Suite that is cheap at the price – this hotel screams opulence; every inch of it!
