This New York landmark hotel is styled on the famous Hong Kong Peninsula and is in fact part of this chain of luxury, boutique-styled hotels. It is intimate, chic, high tech and individual, sans any rococo flaunting. It is popular with both business and leisure seekers; amongst the most famous is the Osbournes. The Peninsula's subtle Hong Kong connection tells in the high teas and lacquered armories. An extensive renovation was undertaken in 1998 and it is located in a Beaux Arts building dated 1905.
