Restauranteur, master chef and author of four cookbooks, Charlie Palmer, is committed to creating fine American cuisine featuring ingredients from various American regions and thus has greatly enriched the Californian dining scene when he opened Charlie Palmers at Bloomingdales. With impeccable design, stunning décor, and artistically prepared plates, and very impressive wine cellar, one cannot deny that the restaurant is top notch. If you are stopping by for lunch, have the Prix Fixe menu is comprised of heirloom tomato salad, red wine pasta with shrimp, steak and eggs with béarnaise or pan roasted salmon with potato and leek salad for the mains, and a choice of New York style cheesecake or peanut butter molten cake for dessert. For dinner, the caramelized Sonoma chicken and grilled smoke pork chops are superb. A trio of crème brulee or molten chocolate cake are perfect desserts to end the magnificent five star meal at Charlie Palmers.
