Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant and Bar is a Bay Area hole in the wall that specializes in great sushi all housed in a decidedly hip and somewhat retro environment. Their toro and hamachi are like butter in tenderness. Their rolls are equally good. Unique to this restaurant is the spicy jumping tuna rolls, quickly fried in tempura but still keep the tuna from being fully cooked, and are a must order. The spicy scallop roll melts in your mouth as well. When at Ryoko's Japanese Restaurant and Bar, you have to order drinks and that being said, their Nigori sake is sweet and delicious and goes great with the dance music you'll be hearing.
