Suji Park, the owner of Suji’s in Itaewon opened the American-style restaurant after having stayed in the USA for ten years and having enjoyed American cuisine herself. Her husband Sean Park is a photographer by profession who helps manage the restaurant and has done most of the decorating of the interior embellishing the walls with black and white photos. The whole premise of Suji's is to offer a truly New York style dining experience in Itaewon. Cordon Bleu Paris trained Executive Chef Thomas White makes sure that the roster of food on the menu is composed of only the best of the best in American cuisine. The highlights of the brunch menu are truly American comfort foods like seven kinds of flavorful omelets including very large Suji's Omelet, blueberry pancakes, and the bagel that has smoked salmon and cream cheese on top. For suppertime, roast turkey with mash, honey cured ham, meatloaf and the Philly Cheese Steak are a hit with the patrons. With it's two floors, the first resembling a city diner and the second a bistro, and also an outdoor terrace area, Suji's is as good as it gets if you're looking for fantastic American food in Seoul.
