If you prefer being entertained rather than relaxing in a quiet environment, Aa Design Museum is your place to be. Aa Design Museum is not just a museum - it’s also a café and furniture store all rolled into one. This loft type structure situated at the center of modern nightlife district of Mapu-Gu in Seoul was a fulfilled dream for restaurant owner Mr. Kim. Entering the 1st floor of Aa Design Museum or Café Aa, you will be welcomed by a cool downtown loft party, the likes of which you'd find in a New York City hipster's apartment, with an overwhelming collection of comfortable, artistic designer sofas and chairs from Tom Dixon to Marcel Breuer. Find yourself a nice place to eat, be fascinated with extraordinary exhibits, and pick among the beautiful furniture pieces in the showroom. Interestingly, all of the items displayed - from furniture to interior items to subsidiary materials – contain unique history worth sharing with people visiting the place. Nothing here, except for maybe the prices, are "normal" and even the mugs that the coffee comes in an interesting design. Though it may be different, aA Design Museum happens to boast an excellent bistro type restaurant serving great food including a club sandwich and other fresh cafe fare favorites. However, people come to aA Design Museum specifically for the desserts. Fantastic cheesecakes, chocolate cakes, and opera cakes are part of a desert menu that is not to be missed. When you're done eating you can take a stroll to the basement to peruse the museum and it's chic items. Aa Design Museum may not be your typical type of café but is definitely worth the visit.
