Both have a strong beef flavor. There are very definite tinges of French cuisine in the cooking, including sandwiches and other dishes that wouldn’t come close to true Vietnamese. Purists might balk at the food, but they will find it very tasty all the same, and chow down as eagerly as everyone else. You can dine al fresco too, which is always lovely during the seasons and days when it’s more comfortable to do so.
