One familiar way to unwind and relax is to watch a good film with a good snack (like popcorn or chili dogs) and a good drink in hand. If you happen to be near People’s Square and want to take a break for a couple of hours, then visit the Metropol Cinema and check out what movies are currently playing. The theater is off of Xizang Zhong Road and it is near the train station so it is very easy to spot. The newly built movie theater is very impressive with its grand marbled entrance hall designed with earthy shades that you can easily mistake for a hotel lobby. Inside the cinema, earth colors abound as well; brown carpet with flesh retro designs for the floor, a darker shade of brown with flesh colored lines for the walls, and red cushion for the seats. The chairs are spacious and comfy so you need not worry about cramping or getting a stiff leg from keeping your knees from disturbing the person in the row before yours. Before you head inside the cinema to watch your choice of film, take your pick of refreshments and food to munch on from the wide array of food and drink available at the snack bar. If it happens to be a date night then you can conveniently have dinner at the restaurant that is only a few paces away from the Metropol Cinema.
