Let’s say you are going to visit dear old Mom and Dad in Taipei for Christmas but plan to stay there through New Year’s Eve to take in the exquisite Taipei nightlife “culture”.  You probably could do a Facebook or Twitter status post with something like this:

“I’ll be in #Taipei from Dec. 24th- Jan. 3rd, hit me up!”

But what if you did not want to get “hit up” by i) your crazy aunt, ii) your favorite frenemy, or iii) that guy who sat behind you in high school AP Calculus — all of whom are your so called “facebook friends”?
