Teddy Zee is a film producer, entertainment executive and marketing consultant with over 25 years experience in Hollywood. Zee was one of the first Asian Americans to reach prominence in the film industry at the studio level, holding the positions of Senior VP of Production at Paramount Pictures and Executive VP of Production at Columbia Pictures. His credits as producer include PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS, HITCH, LIFE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT, WEST 32ND, SAVING FACE and QUANTUM QUEST. Films he shepherded as a studio executive include CHARLIE’S ANGELS, CABLE GUY, MY GIRL, FOOLS RUSH IN, ANACONDA and INDECENT PROPOSAL. Zee championed the Hollywood screen debuts of Chow Yun Fat, Matthew Perry and Damon Wayans as well as the directorial debut of Antoine Fuqua.
He was Executive Producer of the Asian Excellence Awards. Most recently, Zee has been involved in bridging Hollywood and Asia. In addition to working with studios in China, Korea and Taiwan, Zee facilitated a major marketing and promotions deal between China fashion retailer Semir and Marvel Studio on IRON MAN 2. Zee is a member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Producers Guild of America and Committee of 100 as well as being a vocal leader associated with a number of causes in the API community.
