Privy 5 Overview
"With a presence in the area since the Depression era, this large Jewish eatery is open twenty four hours a day every day of the year (save for Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah). After you’ve whetted things nicely with complimentary pickles, the matzo ball soup is a must try item on the menu. Like a chicken noodle broth with a matzo ball as the centerpiece, it’s delightful. Cheese blintzes, corned beef sandwiches, and plenty more are all satisfying. However, what keeps people coming back to Canter's is their Reuben sandwich which has been described as the best in all of LA. Portions are generous here. Even the chef’s salad will fill you up, with its meats and cheeses along with other ingredients. This is an old school diner in the best sense and new school as it is open 24 hours and is connected to an adjourning bar. "
