Privy 5 Overview
"Per Se" a Latin phrase for "by themselves", used in English legal, argument. With Per Se as a name, and three Michelin stars, this epicurean hot spot overlooking Central Park has made a name for itself. Thomas Keller, voted the best Chef in the land; of French Laundry fame, has successfully "done it again!" Seasonal, five to nine-course "petit" menus make for a memorable, advanced gastronomic experience which even the bitchiest and most jaded of New Yorker cannot fault. Oysters and pearls, eggs tipped with black-truffle purée, and even mac and cheese (which is actually butter poached lobster) adorn this Raynaud menu. When in NY do as the New Yorkers and save space for a coffee and doughnuts dessert, do the same at Per Se. Dining here is a protracted experience, and so is getting a reservation, so be prepared to wait. You may catch a glimpse of Nicholas Cage leaving the kitchen after offering his compliments to the chef.
