Privy 5 Overview
Bushi-Tei is a swanky, sharp little restaurant nestled on Post Street. The waiter that seated us gave us a friendly welcome as we approached. Despite it’s upscale nature, the service is exception and also accommodating and even is children friendly which is rare at restaurants of the caliber of Bushi-Tei. The menu is a mix of upscale and ordinary which makes for some interesting choices including the hot ABC sandwich which consists of avocado, bacon and crab and fries. The fries are sprinkled with toasted paprika and also go great with the fully-loaded Washugyu burger. Other memorable dishes include the foie gras on top of pumpkin custard to the more tradition omakase menu. Unique to Bushi-Tei is a bathroom that many have advised you cannot leave the restaurant with having the “bathroom experience.” With toilets that open automatically as you reach them, warmed seats, and a hi-tech bidet, as strange as it sounds, you need to make a trip to the bathroom on your trip to Bushi-Tei.
