Tell us about how you got your start. Do you remember your first gig?
I graduated UCLA with a B.A. in Sociology and Theater. Soon after graduation, I was scouted while shopping. It was funny, a stranger kept following me as I shopped and I thought he was a creep so I kept trying to avoid him. Finally he stopped me and asked how tall I was. I told him and he gave me his business card saying he was a modeling agent. I found the business card a week later, did some research and found out he worked for a legitimate modeling agency. So I took a chance and decided to give it a try!
My first model casting was a runway show for Sebastian Professional. I was really nervous because I had never done a runway. I watched a TON of videos on how to walk, practiced walking in heels at my apartment gym and recorded myself. The following day I went to the casting, and I booked it! Modeling eventually led to my first acting job, a commercial for a credit checking company.

What do you enjoy most about working as a model?
I love the physical transformations that come with the job. I’m always excited to see how they will change my hair, what kind of outfit I will be wearing and what kind of character I will get to portray.
