Channel 1 is said to be the most hip out of the newly built malls in Shanghai having formally opened their doors to the public only last September. The mall was specifically built to house upscale shops of the famous brands and restaurants in and out of China. You may need half a day or so to explore all six floors of this hip and huge shopping complex. There’s Sephora, Bershka, City Chain, Orchirly, Only, Wagas and Gloria Jeans Café on the ground level and Asobio, Zara, H&M, Zara occupying both the ground and second floor. Teenie Weenie, Uniqlo, Jack & Jones, Xin Wang Restaurant are other shops located on the second level. Etam, Eland, Le Shop, Dazzle, Chaber, Suzie, Arizona, Ziranma, Aofee, Snoopy, Eve’s Temptation, Lenscrafters and others can be found on the third level. Sports wear and accessories are mostly found on the fourth floor with brands like Adidas, Nike, Crocs, Converse, and Sandstone. Clothing shops like Jeanstown, Gaomoda and James King can also be found on the fourth level along with other shops that offer services and other accessories with establishments like Hello Kitty, Renoir Puzzle, Troika, Mannings and Sofo. Xiyue Cantonese Restaurant occupies a rather big space up on the fifth level along with other restaurants like Happy Chili, Juepin Restaurant, Ajusen Ramen, and Gan Guo Ju. For personal care and beauty products, go up to the fifth floor and find New York Skin Solution and MIC. More food shops are on the top level – Burger King, Strawberry Forever, Pho Yummy, Ah Yat Tianxia, Juice Connection, Terroir Wine Lounge, Sweet and Honey, Subway, Mr. Waffle, Dairy Queen, Ya Dian Fang, Don Nut, Korean Restaurant, Lisboa Restaurant, Curry House, Noodle Bull, Croissants De France, Mochi Sweets, Cookie Man and Saizeriya are all there to quench the thirst or hunger after a good shopping spree at Channel 1 mall.
