John Kim is the Managing Partner of HighBAR Partners, a Silicon Valley investment firm focused on technology turnarounds. It was founded as the personal investment vehicle of Sun Microsystem founders, Bill Joy and Andreas Bechtolsheim. He is also the co-founder of HiveHop, an Internet company focused on enhancing productivity through your social graph. John started his career as an investment banker and began investing in technology companies after an operating role at Zeborg (aka Emptoris), an enterprise software company. He currently serves on the Boards of multiple software companies and recently moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after living in New York for 15 years.
