Privy 5 San Francisco Jeremy Lin
New York Knicks NBA Player
Jeremy Lin is the first Chinese/Taiwanese-American basketball player in the NBA.
The California native, was an all state basketball player for Palo Alto High School, garnering several player of the year awards, and went on to Harvard University, setting numerous records on the court, while graduating with a degree in Economics. As an undrafted free agent, he made his rookie debut with his hometown Golden State Warriors in the 2010-11 season. From his spectacular performance against #1 pick John Wall in the NBA Summer League to hooping it up with the Warriors and NBA D-League Reno Bighorns, Jeremy Lin has been turning heads ever since.
What makes Jeremy Lin such a success story is the seemingly insurmountable odds that he overcame to accomplish his dream of playing in the NBA. Jeremy Lin is the first full Asian-American player in the NBA in over 50 years, and first player from Harvard in over 50 years. Jeremy currently plays for the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. When he is not balling, you can probably find him playing Halo with his buddies, going to church with his friends, or at In 'n Out eating his favorite Double-Double with grilled onions and animal style fries. Linsanity!
